Rolls out the global worldwide supplier quality strategy in alignment with Global Procurement overall strategy to ensure suppliers are compliant to regulations and deliver conform products and services. The responsibility scope covers supplier quality issues with customers and in production, as well as an active role in NPI.
Main accountabilities:
- Foster early supplier involvement during NPI and ensures supplier development of strategic important suppliers; - Ensure quality awareness within the major important suppliers in the Barco supply chain; - Ensures development, management and maintenance of the supplier quality related procures and execution is compliant to the required Quality Management System (QMS) certifications (ISO9001, ISO13485 , 21CFR Part 820, ...); - Ensures development, execution and monitoring of a global supplier audit program; - Defines and monitors the Supplier Quality Objectives and performance and maintains supplier quality reports; - Ensures the right processes are defined and followed within the global procurement organization; - Reports on the performance of suppliers and has advisory role in supplier selection and evaluation; - Identifies training needs, organize trainings to meet quality standards and maintain training matrix of the supplier quality team; - Coordinates, drives or supports quality related improvement initiatives to achieve improved product quality, process quality or pro-actively enhance supplier quality outcome, based on evaluation of quality results, quality KPIs and audit results; - Handles escalations for supplier quality issues; - Drives for improvement initiatives (short/mid term) for processes and practices; - Has the authority to hold/release production at suppliers or hold shipments towards Barco.
Required competencies:
Education: - Bachelor degree or master degree in a technical domain or equivalent by experience
Experience: - At least 3 years in supplier quality function or buying function (good relationship with suppliers is crucial)
Competencies: - Good understanding of QMS requirements to achieve required QMS certificates to support the Barco businesses; - Trained on Barco QA curriculum (Stage gates/NPI, PQM, management of non-conformities, red alerts, delivery hold/production holds, CAPA, document and record control, process change management, management review, internal auditing, complaint escalations, use of iTrack, ...) as defined in the competence matrix; - Solution directed and E2E continuous improvement attitude; - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, listening skills and able to cope with stressful situations; - Sound judgment and high level of integrity and ethics.
