Roles and Responsibilities Roles responsible for developing Service design concepts based on user needs, and define allocation to subsystems based on refinement of the design concept with SME in subsystems. Individuals in these roles perform detailed trade studies to define the specifications for features or components. They perform CTQ and requirements flow down, document their designs, and perform challenging verification of their designs. In addition, they capture service requirements and ensure that systems, subsystems, or component designs meet those requirements, from install, troubleshooting, repair, to preventive and proactive maintenance. They understand the service vision and process and can ensure service goals for a product or business are met. Work with Program Manager and global design/service team as NPI core team member, to ensures that service related tasks integrate properly within the product/program. Optimize team performance across the program value chain, functionally and technically. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the service market Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated service features with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues. Define procedures and strategy for field installations, calibrations, and part replacements. Lead installation and warranty cost reduction projects. Drive Service Design & Service System Level Requirements. Drive implementation of design and documentation about service action, Installation, and spare parts replacement, etc. Identify opportunities to improve design quality in new design based on field quality feedback and user needs collection. Review and do verification/Validation work for service features, process and documentations. Execute field data analysis to find opportunities about service cost reduction. Lead service features' design with cross design function teams. Required Qualifications Master or Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering , System Engineering or closely related discipline. 5 years of engineering and/or service/system experience in a related field. Strong knowledge on engineering design principles, architectures and advancements in service engineering concepts and technologies. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Strong technical skill in CT or medical device domain. Team player with boundless spirit.
