AIIB’s Strategy, Policy and Budget (SPB) Department is responsible for: (i) developing and monitoring the implementation of the Bank’s strategic agenda; (ii) developing and overseeing compliance with the Bank’s operational policies and procedures for the Bank’s infrastructure investment operations (non-treasury), including environmental, social, procurement and financial management; and (iii) developing and monitoring the Bank’s annual business plan to implement the Bank’s strategies and manage the Bank’s administrative budget to support the implementation of the annual business plan. SPB is recruiting a Data Management Assistant to support the work of the Corporate Strategy team in implementing the Bank’s Corporate Strategy, Business Plan, and other strategic initiatives. The key responsibility of the Data Management Assistant is to provide necessary research, data and analytical support to the team, as well as administrative management and coordination as needed. The Data Management Assistant will collect and manage data from various sources and generate basic analytics from the data to support the business operation of the team, which may include secondary research utilizing external databases; creating and maintaining internal databases and dashboards; and generating business intelligence based on those databases. Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -The primary responsibility involves supporting the team with data collection, management, and analysis. The specific tasks include: oIdentifying sources of data and its structure, and updating databases accordingly. This also involves supporting data pre-processing and structuring, as well as assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data acquisition methods. oDeveloping processes and tools for data mining and collection, automating analysis, progress management, and record and document management. oRetrieving and preparing timely data, statistics, and market information to support the team's analytical work. oSupporting data and analysis requests from the team with sound data quality and methodology design. oUnderstanding business needs and requirements and presenting information in a clear, understandable manner, including data visualization and dashboard creation, to aid in decision-making. -In addition, the Assistant will provide more general support to the team, which includes: oManaging schedules and maintaining up-to-date files and records of correspondence and documentation related to the team's operations. oProviding support for the organization of meetings, events, workshops, travel, and conferences. This may include logistical support, on-site support, contents preparing, and note taking. oSupporting procurement actions, processing invoices, and maintaining an up-to-date record of vendor payments. oEnsuring the timely and smooth implementation of logistics for key tasks. -Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor. Candidate Requirements -Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields from a reputable university, with a preference for degrees in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data/business analytics, decision science, or applied quantitative research. -At least one year of relevant experience in data management and analytics, preferably within an international or financial institution. -Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Applications and data visualization is essential. Experience with SQL, Python, and other coding languages, as well as Power BI and other BI tools (Tableau, Looker), and statistical/data mining techniques is preferred. -Proficient in both verbal and written English and Chinese. -Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities. -Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines, with a strong orientation towards service.
