The key responsibility of the Portfolio Assistant (the PA) in the Portfolio Management Department is to provide portfolio monitoring and administrative support to the assigned Portfolio Monitoring Officers (the PMOs), including basic financial and credit analysis, general data collection and analysis, basic research work, basic project-level monitoring tasks, liaison with internal & external contacts, and administrative management and coordination, etc. Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Assist the IMD-Middle Office (MO) team in the supervision and monitoring of various financial assets such as loans and guarantees, particularly the adherence by clients to the contractual obligations under the Finance Documents and timely submission or reportorial requirements. -Participate in system-related activities such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide inputs as necessary. -Work closely with other internal stakeholders to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the database of project-related data and documentation for management information. -Assist in managing work schedules, maintain up-to-date files and records of all correspondence and documentation related to the team. -Provide admin and logistical support, as needed, to MO staff for the organization of meetings, events, workshops and conferences, including preparing schedules, informing participants, confirming dates and times, sending electronical or paper invitations, taking and distributing minutes and notes, collecting and keeping receipts and billing records, etc. -Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s). Candidate Requirements -Bachelor’s degree or above in related fields from a reputable university. -Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in an international financial institution; experience in accounting and finance is a plus. -Proficient in verbal/written English and Chinese. -Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as ability to juggle multiple priorities. -Strong analytical skills would be preferred. -Self-motivated and detail-oriented; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; service orientation. -Ability to deal with extremely confidential and sensitive information. -Proven experience with MS Office Applications is a must.
