Job Requirements: 1. Lead team to complete design and development of various new products, meeting the requirements of quality and cost. 2. Formulate specifications for new products, develop product design verification plan (DVP&R) based on the specifications, and ensure the products pass the tests on time. 3. Release new product drawings, handle engineering change matters (internal, customer and supplier), and document materials required throughout the project process. 4. Apply the existing product design to the new platform, optimize and localize design as much as possible. 5. Design and implement changes to existing products to solve after-sales issues and enhance product performance. 6. Collaborate with other departments to discuss measures for optimizing product design to ensure that the products meet the standards. 7. Solve issues such as deviation permission and accuracy of drawings. 8. Regularly communicate with customers, obtain technical specifications or requirements and provide technical support or solutions. 9. Support sales in obtaining customer orders, analyze the feasibility of product solutions based on RFQ documents and customer requirements, and prepare RFQ-related technical documents. 10. Analyze benchmark products and output analysis reports. 11. Mentor junior product design engineers. 12. Provide necessary product support to other departments. 13. Other tasks assigned by superior.
Job Qualification 1. Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical-electrical Engineering, Material Engineering or Mechanical Automatic Control. Master of Science in above Engineering fields is a plus. 2. Minimum 5 years product design or application experience in automotive industry (Tier 1), actuator or latch design experience preferred. 3. Proficient in design of actuator or gearbox structure assembly. 4. Familiar with gear transmission, and DC brushed/brushless motors, and have experience in design of mechatronic products. 5. Familiar with material processing techniques such as injection molding, stamping and surface treatment, and be familiar with metals, plastics and greases. 6. Be familiar with engineering standards and terms (materials, dimensions and tolerances). 7. Proficient in using 3D software (CATIA preferred). 8. Understand experimental design and failure analysis methodology. 9. Strong team management ability, result oriented. 10. Good transnational, cross-departmental cooperation and interpersonal communication and coordination skills. 11. Fluent in English, ability to communicate with global R&D teams. 12. Familiar with common standards and quality tools in automotive industry such as IATF16949, PPAP, APQP, FMEA. Knowledge related about ISO14001, ISO45001 and secondary safety standardization.
