Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Build strong relationships with the customer & vendor and communicate effectively with internal and external parties. 2. Proactive and market-oriented; good business sense, customer service and presentation skills. 3. Identify sourcing and value unlock opportunities. 4. Know and understand suppliers/factories and their capabilities, capacity and performance. 5. Negotiate price based on an in-depth understanding of product and components. 6. Hands on order execution 7. Assess suppliers and factories capacity and capability to meet retail market requirements 8. Provide input for supplier assessment 9. Collect relevant data to formulate sourcing proposal 10. Execute buying trip from A-Z including pre-trip, itinerary set up, cost negotiation to finalization to ensure the trip objectives are fully achieved 11. Ensure all supplier quotations and samples are completed on a timely basis for appropriate decision making to meet objectives. 12. Manage order execution and resolve product and production issues on a timely and proactive manner Overseeing issues and resolution of order activities at all levels and stages i.e. from product development, sampling till production, fulfilling all technical protocols of the product as per the set standards and requirements specified by the Tech team. 13. Monitor supplier performance to ensure it meets or exceeds company KPI. Continuously looking after brand / business management growth and keeping track of Supplier KPIs. 14. Prepare Monthly Reports to keep sourcing manager well informed of status of all upcoming programs. 15. Coordinate with replenishment team in daily operations 16. Managing and ensuring that all operations are run smoothly by keeping close track of activities/ coordination at team level. 17. Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed Minimum Qualifications: 1. Minimum 10 years of sales and merchandising experience in knit & Woven products (Include Men’s/Ladies/Kids), good understanding of buying-Sourcing processes, good production knowledge. Familiar with India market as a plus 2. Sales-oriented, with an analytical point of view. 3. Knowledge of suppliers and factories. Able to discern performance differences between various manufacturers. 4. Good negotiation skills in working with suppliers on product and price. Good experience in using component costing. 5. Having a high curiosity and willingness to learn, acting with a continuous research perspective. 6. Highly motivated with high sense of urgency and initiative. Takes ownership. 7. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Able to work under pressure. 8. Team player with ability to work with associates from different cultures. 9. Able to coordinate efforts of associates in multiple offices and work together in a positive and collaborative manner. 10. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and keep them on track. 11. Excellent problem-solving skills. 12. Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point. 13. Excellent command of English and local language. Good communication skills
