Role and responsibility: - Function as the SME for the platform technology and provide the expertise advice on the technology - Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Linux OS support, aligned with organizational goals. - Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating system across the organization. - Ensure the stability, security, and performance of Linux servers and endpoints. - Act as the next level escalation point for more complex Linux OS-related issues and ensure timely resolution. - Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measure. - Develop and enforce patch management policies to ensure all Linux systems are up-to-date and secure. - Coordinate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and apply necessary updates. - Monitor the performance of Linux systems, analyze trends, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. - Prepare and present regular reports on Linux OS support operations, compliance, and risk management to senior leadership. - Manage related budget. - Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadline and organizational goals.
Responsibility: - 10+ years of relevant experience in which at least 5 years in managerial position with regional coverage. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the manager position. - Hands on experience on position related technical components. Technical Skills: - Extensive knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS, SUSE) and related technologies. - Strong understanding of Linux shell scripting, automation tools and system monitoring tools. - Experience with cloud-based Linux environments is a plus. - Relevant certifications such as RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), or equivalent is highly desirable.
