Position Summary The Head of Order Fulfillment is a global acting and strongly customer facing role, located in Guangzhou China and is responsible to (i) build, (ii) lead/manage and (iii) run all Supply Chain related business aspects in the newly created AR/VR Program of ZEISS Vision. This includes all shipments out of China into any other country incl. China. As the Head of Order Fulfillment will be acting within a strong global matrix footprint, the role is characterized as a pivotal business enabler that sets and leads every step of the fulfillment process together with line functions including Warehousing, Inventory Planning and Tracking, Staffing, Process Excellence, Governance, System Management, Development and Operations. This role will take the role as relationship manager internally and externally towards our strategic customer, strategic partners and also internally to all commercial entities e.g. General Managers and will coordinate and secure that all parts of the value chain and supply processes are aligned and scalable. Main Task 1. Work with stakeholders to develop a strategy and KPIs for the fulfillment process in line with business critical requirements and objectives. 2. Lead a multi-skilled organization, directly and in a global matrix structure, ensuring order management, logistics and customer operations. 3. Transfer learning and knowledge and embed it in the business units, at our customer and at suppliers. 4. Act as spokesperson, key liaison and escalation point for the strategic partner and Zeiss Vision. 5. Participate in setting standards and KPIs in tenders for services across the operations/supply chain. 6. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop performance management systems and monitor performance. 7. Act as a role model to diligently drive KPI improvement for Service, Cost and Inventory and ensure to provide regular KPI reports with data and actions to measure progress against plans and objectives. 8. Develop and implement inventory strategies and plans for the China warehouse - including finished goods, components and any other inventories such as consumables. 9. Effectively manage the delivery of our precious goods from China into all regions of the world. 10. Manage from a holistic perspective the interface between Sales and Operations by being the key business partner towards sales functions, connecting the customer and all commercial entities with all production and supplier facilities. 11. Own and coordinate as process-owner all stakeholders in the Sales & Operations Planning Process to deliver consistent planning and action from an end-to-end perspective to enable high service levels for our customers at adequate cost and inventory level. 12. Drive the specification and implementation of new Supply Chain service models as response to changing market/customer requirements. 13. Drive the supply performance on delivery, service and inventory through monitoring, root-cause analysis, identification of actions across operational and structural improvements in the short, medium and long term plus consistent and disciplined follow-up. 14. Drive the digitalization and system development of supply chain systems and processes. 15. Drive product allocation decisions in close alignment w/ the customer in case of product shortages. 16. Lead the build-up of a comprehensive Supply Chain Cockpit to ensure full transparency on all relevant Supply Chain Performance Indicators and enable early warnings in case of risks to Supply Chain Performance. 17. Build a strong network and trustful relationships across ZEISS and drive new initiatives to establish S&OP Excellence 18. Direct the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes to maintain alignment of company objectives 19. Maintain strong customer contact on a day-to-day basis to determine client needs, supply/demand levels, etc. 20. Ensure alignment between SCM and Commercial entities. 21. Run an appropriate governance to provide clear direction to all personnel within sphere of control and sphere of influence. 22. Maintain and drive a high degree of operational excellence throughout the organization. 23. Monitor and steer the in house organization to ensure a high level of Customer Service through accuracy and efficiency in operations of receiving, picking, shipping, etc. within agreed time and cost targets. 24. Direct regional standards for warehousing and logistics practices. 25. Create excellent collaboration between commercial, product mgmt., finance and operations teams. 26. Guide, motivate, assess, control and develop the subordinates in line with the Carl Zeiss leadership principles. 27. Propose salary adjustments and participate in decisions with regards to individual HR measures (in agreement with HR department). 28. Ensure efficient structure and processes. 29. Be a respected leader in the company. Qualification 1. Bachelor degree or above and master's degree preferably; Major in Business, supply chain, industrial engineering, engineering or comparable degree in technical discipline. 2. Minimum of 8 years professional experience in supply chain related functions e.g. procurement; Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership position. 3.
