Accountabilities: 1. Vendor Management: Research, identify and engage vendors that best meet our product sourcing needs, and operate in full compliance to our policies. Continually assess vendor performance, favoring best in class factories, who deliver greatest value for our clients. 2. Project Development & Execution: Develop products & ranges that meet all requirements of the brief & comply in full to our quality standards. Working closely with our Triangle team & vendors, ensure projects and orders are delivered to plan. Take ownership of issues and their resolution. 3. Commercial Terms: Negotiate with our vendors to secure the best possible commercial terms for our clients – Cost, Payment Terms & Working Capital. Actively mitigate CPI. Track results. 4. Stakeholder relationships: Build & maintain a strong network & communication flow with our clients & vendors, ensuring we’re recognized for our professionalism partnership & expertise. Keep all parties engaged & aligned on project development. Monitor & report progress. 5. Reporting: Produce & maintain a weekly Project Tracker to ensure the Management team and triangle team are fully aware of progress, and any issues associated with each project. 6. Market: Act as the “Eyes & Ears” of your product area, staying informed on our client markets, and providing them with insights on sourcing opportunities (‘Push’)
Requirements: - 5 years plus commercial experience in product lines including Building Materials, Tools, Storage or Hardware etc. - Background in a multinational company, with direct overseas contacts - Good written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated, determined & resolute under pressure. - Organized, analytical & strong attention to detail. Collaborative, proactive, with ability to anticipates issues. - Commercial drive & passion for product. Strong negotiation skill
