Position: Sourcing/Procurement Manager – English –Mechanical materials
Responsibilities:
? Learn and understand the companies, business units, departments and areas of the CAF Group that can have some interest in purchasing parts in China.
? Launch RFI&RFQ: follow the needs of different products categories, obtain from them project specifications, send these project specifications to the selected suppliers, follow suppliers’ quotations, review, compare and negotiate with the suppliers with objective savings to gain the orders in China within budget (Main KPI)
? Search for and homologate new suppliers. Develop the suppliers together with other departments for the different given product categories in Railway sectors. Keep eyes of any news of supply chain in the market.
? Coordinate and work together/support other departments such as Engineering, SCM and Quality, to ensure supplier’ performance and cooperation in RFQs and project’ phase (OTIF&NCR).
? Actively work by email and online meetings communicating with HQ in Spain and its other manufacture sites over the world.
Profile:
? Chinese person. Strong communication skills. Based in Shanghai.
? Perfect written and spoken English.
? Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a foreign company or in an international environment.
? Technical knowledge such as sheet metal, welding, interior kits or casting parts with Railway or Automobile working experience is highly appreciated.

The project in China
The CAF Shanghai office, opened in mid 2009, has the following goals:
· Control the ongoing purchasing projects that the company has all over , including material, elements and systems to be used in the manufacturing of trains.
· Develop Chinese suppliers for globing sourcing projects around the world.
· Have local presence in China in order to take advantage of the opportunities that will be created.
