I. Key Responsibilities
The role will focus on electronic hardware design and delivering sustainable even strategically innovation to fulfill Asia Pacific R&D team and ensure R&D support long term growth of APEX Tool Group by creating technology and innovation leadership in the market.

- Conducts design analyses or simulation of analog and/or digital circuits, with focus being on analog. Performs review of design analyses to ensure correct calculations and methods were used with verified assumptions. Modifies existing circuits or designs new circuits which efficiently meet product specifications and customer needs.
- Support design and development activities when functioning as a member of the core engineering team. Engineer will be expected to work on multiple projects/programs.
- The individual will be expected to mentor manufactory engineers with performing to design related phase gate deliverables.
- Responsible for the product technical documentation: product release report (focus: design part), documents, follow/ endorse department working procedures.
- Arrange smooth technology and knowledge transfer to manufacturing, process engineers and supplier (acc. know-how transfer guidelines).
- In constant search for cost-down and value engineering opportunities. Propose ideas, implement solutions leading to cost effective product, within the limit of the platform. Maximize the sharing and leverage of building blocks into product design.
- Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced partners on electronic design and development.
- Scout, benchmark and bring new/emerging technology into our product design in order to improve the performance, lower the cost, and realize never-possible features
- Collaborate with Experience designers to establish, maintain and communicate descriptions of users, personas, and experience pillars.
- Translating commercial, functional specification into design concepts on finish goods level;
- Work independently and can cooperate with global development team.

- Drive continuous improvement in technology department.


II. Requirement - Bachelor or Master in electronic engineering, computer and automation or related major.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on the field of electronic hardware design.
- Strong experience on product development like system definition, system analysis, debugging etc.
- Very good understanding of electronic firmware design, preferably good understanding of electronic system architecture, firmware and interface creation.
- Very good techniques in quick concept creation, requirement management, schematic creation, layout, feasibility study, system scenarios buildup, specification generation, system optimization, cost effective analysis, familiar with design guideline, knowledgeable on key components selection.
- Familiar with the analog circuit design, digital circuit design, sensor, motor driving, power electronics.
- Good skill on tools like Mentor graphics (PADS or Mentor Xpedition), Altium Designer or equivalent.
- Good skill on simulation tools such as Multisim, Pspice or Ltspice.
- Good skill on data analysis tool such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Minitab or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Preferably, rich electronic hardware design experience of consumer electronics products, tools, power electronics, domestic appliances etc.
- Preferably, demonstrate that already the Responsibilities listed above.
- Familiar with one of PIC, 51 or ARM micro-controller.
