Job Responsibilities : - Responsible for strategic purchasing and product group management in Asia - Creation and implementation of purchasing and product group strategies - Responsible for the selection of suppliers in Asia - Responsible for monitoring the supplier performance and taking action if necessary - Responsible for supplier management (selection, evaluation, care and complaint processing) - Negotiations with all suppliers in the responsible area - Carrying out tenders, inquiries, evaluation of offers - Preparing contracts including independent negotiations of quality, prices, terms and conditions - Cost optimization, control of processes with the goal to increase the performance, profitability and competitiveness - Analysis and observation of the Asian vs. global procurement market - Tactical and operational assurance of the supply chain for all locations - Regular coordination and cooperation within Supply Chain project with the Headquarter in Germany - Compliance with the global guidelines Job requirements - Bachelor of Arts/Science or Master of Arts/Science in Supply Chain, Economics, business administra-tion - Education with high technical affinity or any comparable Education - Professional experience at least 5 years - Good market knowledge in the area of mechanical and electrical assemblies as well as x-ray - Good technical understanding - High level of service and customer orientation - high negotiation skills and communication skills - high knowledge in purchasing, supplier management, contract drafting, purchasing law - Ability to establish long-term relationships with suppliers - Independent, structured and result-orientated way of working - Safe handling with SAP (MM) - Safe handling and knowledge of MS Office especially Excel - Business fluent English skills - Knowledge of German would be helpful - Team player - Ability to deal with conflicts - Readiness to travel (travel approx. 40%) - Customer orientation
