KEY ACTIVITIES 61 Understand market structure, needs and trends, key drivers, through different media: market studies, trade shows, webinar, LinkedIn, digital, social networking; 61 Develop customer intimacy: establish key contact, ensure strong relationship with prospects and customers, including OEMs, and any other stakeholders incl. strategic partnerships; 61 Participate to the development strategies defined by the global Battery market teams (Coating Solutions & HPP), proposing new projects to explore (NPD and NBD) 61 Implement the strategy established in coordination with the market managers through new business development plan (incl. customer/prospect segmentation) 61 Actively promote the solutions of ** in line with the strategy (exhibitions, conferences and make marketing presentations, webinars to various audiences) 61 Provide regular reporting to the management, meeting reports, NBD activities in Salesforce, market & competition; 61 Contribute to R&D innovation strategies, through the proposition of idea proposals, invention records; 61 Contribute to the cross fertilization of the Battery business development efforts, with other Segments and Business units and as part of Be-One ** initiatives 61 Support New Business Development opportunities in other region for transplant projects with operation owners located in China

ACCOUNTABILITIES 61 Accountable for the NBD pipeline objectives in the region (Salesforce opportunity) ; 61 Accountable for new & existing products qualification and start of sales in new applications; 61 Accountable for customers follow-up, first technical communication, customer relationship (Salesforce meeting reports), and first price positioning; 61 Accountable for Intellectual Property (NDA management with customers, contributing to JDA initiative and execution); 61 Accountable for the achievement of NBD targets (sales, # of leads, # of samples) for the market year n and establish NBD budget for year n+1
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 61 Technical degree – preferably chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, materials engineering or equivalent, completed with a Business Training; 61 Previous experience in the battery field; 61 Skills in business analysis and marketing, customer relationship management, negotiation; 61 Dynamic & Innovative with open and flexible mind-set; 61 Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead project teams internally and with external partners; 61 A global minded individual that possesses a willingness / desire to travel within the region; 61 Is open to travel up to 2-3 days a week sometimes, to meet face to face prospects and build relationships; 61 Strong communication skills – both internal & external, and ability to write synthetic notes on complex projects; 61 Ability to analyze and structure data and information with strong synthesis skills; 61 Flexible working attitude, understand prioritization and urgency; 61 At least 3 years experience in Business Development position 61 Fluent in Chinese and English, a 3rd language is a plus.
