The Role The Supplier Operations Support team is a newly formed team chartered with driving operational excellence and process compliance within Tesla s supply base. Flawless and structured execution in the supply chain is a critical enabler for efficient and effective operations at Tesla s production facilities, and ultimately to enabling timely delivery of product to customers. The Supplier Operations Team primary scope will be order to invoice process execution (for example, ship to order, advanced shipment notification, part packaging and labeling, etc.). Team members will become experts on these processes, both from a Tesla and Supplier perspective. Key elements of success include driving clear and easy to execute process requirements, effective partnership with suppliers, clear documentation and training, and clear and transparent performance measures which enable clear accountability and follow-up. The Supply Chain Support team is global in scope, and these roles will require cross-functional engagement within Tesla and across the extended supply chain.
Responsibilities 61 Review Tesla’s goods flow, information flow and payment flow requirements from an E2E supply chain perspective and drive process improvement strengthen the supplier management and efficiency of supply chain 61 Create, improve and deploy key process documentation, supplier onboarding requirements, etc. Arrange regular training and track the deployment of Tesla’s updated process, set ups and policy. 61 Keep close communications with stakeholders in Tesla’s plant, warehouse, etc., identify common failure modes, determine appropriate response and drive resolution and workflow in time. 61 Develop, deploy and maintain KPIs on supplier performance. Create visibility within the supplier and with internal stakeholders on supplier performance and areas needing remediation and improvement. 61 Conquer and accomplish other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements: Must Qualifications 61 Bachelor’s in supply chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering or similar quantitative discipline. CPIM or APIC training is a plus. 61 At least 5 years of work experience in supply chain, manufacturing or other process critical operations and/or relevant experience or evidence of exceptional ability.For senior analyst positions, 6 years or more of experience are expected. 61 Detail oriented and organized meticulous in identifying and diagnosing problems and careful in drawing right conclusions and solutions. 61 Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership. 61 Passionate and relentless in following up on issues until a final resolution achieved and sustained process improvements are deployed and verified. Preferred Qualifications 61 Great communicator, both internally with the team and with other Tesla stakeholders as well as externally with suppliers comfortable having difficult conversations. 61 Demonstrated experience delivering results in an unstructured and fast paced environment. Flexibility and adaptability are key. 61 Experience with automotive supply chains and processes a significant plus.
