Job Summary The Sourcing Manager has responsibility for the development and maintenance of strategic initiatives through the establishment of supplier specifications, measuring conformance and identifying process improvement opportunities. This position will directly manage one or more raw material categories. Specific responsibilities include: 61 Supplier negotiations and drives strategic discussions with global key vendors 61 Articulates sourcing strategies to key business leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment and creative value integration with business units 61 Identification of cost savings opportunities Essential Duties & Responsibilities 61 Contributes for defining, planning and executing sourcing global strategies to improve the existing business and set the stage for future growth. 61 Leads negotiations and concludes deals within area of responsibility. 61 Conducts market research and proactively finds new suppliers and alternative raw materials. 61 Monitors and analyses market development and supply availability. Forecasts prices of strategic products 61 Follows corporate sustainability program elements in conjunction with supplier base. 61 Facilitate supplier selection and contribute to negotiate global contracts for key Avient and business-unit initiatives. 61 Responsible for the documentation and administration of all supplier contracts, confidentiality agreements, license agreements, purchase order documentation, shipping documentation, advance shipping notices (from suppliers) and all electronic documents required to facilitate smooth supply chain execution. 61 Work with supplier base to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities. 61 Integrate strategic procurement activities with business unit representatives where required. 61 Report category activities to organization on a regular basis. 61 May supervise Sourcing Specialists/Coordinators. This includes conducting market research, finding new suppliers, and negotiating favorable contracts. 61 Supply Chain Management - Expertise in managing all aspects of the global supply chain, from logistics to inventory management, to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of materials and services. 61 Supplier Relationship Management - Strong skills in identifying, evaluating, and partnering with qualified global suppliers that meet legal and company requirements. This includes monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement. 61 Negotiation - Highly developed negotiation abilities to secure the best deals and terms with international suppliers. 61 Data Analysis - Proficiency in analyzing procurement data and metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize sourcing processes. 61 Project Management - Capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute global sourcing initiatives and drive process improvements. 61 Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across different cultures and time zones. 61 Problem-Solving - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges and mitigate risks.
