Core Responsibilities: 61 Implementation of a detailed, task-level, day-to-day Safety and Health program, EH&S work process, standards, and procedures. With guidance from the Site EH&S Leader, ensures all plant needs are covered in the program. 61 Plant subject matter expert resource for related Safety and Health and Process Safety information on procedures, guidelines, and standards. 61 Introduce and drive best practices across areas, from corporate, and from external benchmarking. 61 Plant subject matter expert contact for Safety and Health and Process Safety audits and issues. 61 Coach teams and individuals on Safety and Health related tasks and activities. 61 Develop, implement, and administer Safety and Process Safety training within the Plant including HRA and PSM where applicable. 61 Assist in developing and achieving area or plant Safety and Health goals. 61 Ensure compliance tasks are completed. 61 Perform the Safety and Health and Process Safety monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting for the Plant. 61 Facilitate development and review of area safety procedures and practices and ensure alignment with Site & Corporate policies and standards. 61 As required, lead/participate in Safety and Health and PSM-related reviews, teams, and improvement projects. 61 Coordinate audit schedules in the Safety & Health and Process Safety-related areas. 61 Conduct audits routinely with strong visibility and engagement with employees. 61 As required, conduct and document investigations and classification of incidents and ensure follow-up actions to prevent re-occurrences that are addressed. Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in chemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or safety related. 61 At least 5 years of working experience in Chemical Manufacturing, Environmental Health & Safety related roles. 61 Certified Safety Engineer (chemical engineering) 61 Experience with hazardous chemical produce/operation license 61 Familiar with China EHS-related regulations and standards. 61 Experience with “sources of major danger” management is preferred. 61 Proficient in both spoken and written English.
