Responsibilities: - Lead/support supplier certification processes. - Support the search and selection of suppliers for new components (and spare parts), ensuring they meet company standards. - Ensure that suppliers understand and comply with company requirements, drawings, and specifications and adhere to industry regulations and company standards - Provide ongoing technical support and clarification to suppliers as needed. - Assist suppliers in developing and maintaining robust quality control processes including continuous improvement. - Perform audits of supplier facilities and processes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. - Provide technical expertise and support to the purchasing team to ensure informed decision-making. - Support quality management activities and inspections for purchasing, ensuring components meet quality standards. - Facilitate and support effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal teams. - Assist with the evaluation and resolution of technical issues related to supplier components. - Regular reporting (progress, achievements and KPI’s) - Maintain a good relationship with suppliers. - Work in close co-operation with all other team colleagues worldwide and share information
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Min. 5 years work experience in manufacturing related, QM or supplier development environment preferably in marine or heavy machinery industry. Two-stroke experience preferred. - Experience in quality control and assurance preferred. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and testing methods. - Experience in conducting supplier audits and leading certification processes. - Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - High level of commitment, self-motivated and team spirit - Audit experience of advantage - Familiar with Engineering Codes and technical Specifications (e.g. Technical Rules of Shipping Classification Societies, EN- and ISO Standards) - Familiar with engineering drawings - Good skills for Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint - Fluency in spoken and written English
