Within Ship Electrification Solutions (SES) we are a world leading total supplier of electric and hybrid solutions for the marine industry. Our products range from Shaft Generators, Electric Propulsion Systems to Hybrid Solutions and shore power.
We are planning to strengthen our energetic, ambitious, and enthusiastic team with a Sales Engineer with knowledge to electrical power systems.

As a Solution sales you be involved in multiple sales projects configuring solutions for Hybrid electrical & purely electrical propulsion solution, Hybrid and traditional PTO solutions within the SES sales engineering team. The successful applicant will take report to line manager of the General Sales Manager SES China.

To ensure the best value proposition and solution configuration, you will be coordinating the technical bid with our global front-line sales force and the different suppliers of the solution components, like generators, converters, batteries, transformers or e-motors.

This position is preferably located in Shanghai, China. Due to the international character of this job, you will be working with customers, Sales Managers and other Sales Engineers around the world.

Position Description:
The successful applicant will take responsibility of Solution sales activities in China primarily related to Hybrid electrical & purely electrical propulsion solution, Hybrid and traditional PTO solutions within the SES sales engineering team Responsibilities include:

Bid management (communication with global sales, customers), either standalone or in bundles/solutions.
Build on relationships with shipyards, owners, designer etc.
Leading price discussion with yards and integrator companies
Enter new markets segments
Mapping prices for defined solutions and define win strategy to explore those
Develop new business models with internal and external stakeholders
Presenting and negotiating Proposals with customers.
Responsible for the commercial part and final negotiations of the offered solution in the sales phase.


Desired Skills:

Strong organizational skills, focused on achieving results as a team effort
Continuous improvement and Operational Excellence mindset
Good commercial and technical understand of SES products and systems (especially variable speed drives including DC Bus applications) and basic understanding of other SES Products such as shaft generator systems, shore connections and energy management systems
Good understanding of customer and its business
Experience in multicultural working environment
Excellent Communication skills, ability to engage in dialogue with different levels of the customer's organization
Cost awareness & effectiveness
Knowledge of and ability to work with company sales tools


Desired Qualifications:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree (Technical)
At least 3 years previous experience in shipping industry
Fluency in English and Chinese language
