The Site Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting Microsoft-based workplace environments within a designated site cluster. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the solutions used by employees to ensure their efficient and effective use in daily operations. In addition, the Site Administrator takes care of the local network and server infrastructure, including virtual servers, LAN, WiFi and Firewall. The management of the local internet connection and local support contracts are also in focus. As the primary point of contact, the Site Administrator must demonstrate a strong service-oriented approach and be readily available to assist. Reporting to the Team Lead Infrastructure in the Technology Solutions department, the Site Administrator is key to fostering effective collaboration between Corporate IT and on-site teams. All tasks are fulfilled in close cooperation with the members of the teams Workplace and Infrastructure inside the Corporate IT. Main activities 61 User Assistance o Act as the primary point of contact for employees seeking assistance, offering guidance and consultation in workplace related topics with a hands-on mentality o Provide support for all workplace issues and inquiries at the site, including hard- and software 61 Solution Familiarity o Maintain a broad knowledge of the solutions used in the site (e.g. Microsoft and Apple) o Stay updated with the latest features and updates to better assist users 61 Training and Onboarding o Organize and deliver training sessions for employees on the use of workplace technologies o Ensure proper onboarding of new employees entering the company 61 Inventory Management o Manage the inventory of hardware and software licenses of the site within the Product Portfolio Management 61 Feedback Collection o Actively collect feedback from employees regarding the workplace setup o Working together with the role of the Business Analyst to use feedback to continuously improvement the solution and service portfolio
Qualification Apprenticeship or University – Bachelor or University – Master Field of Study Apprenticeship as IT Specialist, Business Informatics Additional Qualification / Requirement Microsoft Basic Certifications, Service Mentality Experience With 3 to 5 years' Professional Experience Language Good at oral and writing English, CET 4 is required.
In addition to the tasks at the Shanghai site, the Site Administrator takes care about the users and devices of the location in Singapore. This is a remote task with one planned on site visit per year. To ensure a good cooperation there is the Cooperate IT Conference twice a year in Germany, where all IT employees are having a week together for personal exchange and for the planning of our tasks.
