Job Purpose and Impact The Software Engineering Senior Supervisor will lead a small engineering team for plant operation/manufacture of Ag & Trading APAC to build and enhance modern business applications in the company. In this role, you will guide team in product development, architecture and technology adherence to ensure delivered solutions are secure and scalable. This position will develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Manufacture & Logistics processes at Cargill, integration knowledge for suite of applications and will partner with Global Architect to drive alignment of architecture and design standards for key capabilities and applications. This role is also responsible for managing the vendor and end to end delivery of the assigned SW/projects and on-going support, staying current with emerging business and technology trends, promoting the ‘art of the possible’, and driving innovation investments throughout the assigned capability. You will also lead team development and cross team relationships and delivery to advance the company's engineering delivery.
Key Accountabilities Lead a team of engineering professionals that design, develop, deploy and enhance the new and existing software solutions for plant operation/manufacture. Provide direction to the team to build highly scalable and resilient software products and platforms to support business needs. Collaborate with software vendors and internal Business and IT stakeholders and ensure Product and vendor governance. Provide input and guidance to the delivery team across technology and business capabilities to accomplish team deliverables. Partners with the Architect(s) to understand the application architecture for all capabilities within the portfolio and the associated roadmap. Lead Plant operation & Smart Manufacturing projects by demand. Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of four years of related work experience Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of overall experience with at least 4 years in Manufacturing and Logistics management space , 3+ years of supervisory experience Project management and external vendor management experience Proven background in technical people management (direct and indirect reports) - international team at different locations across the Globe Ability to identify, clarify and promote the best value-delivering opportunities for technology investments and ensure that promised value is delivered. Business process and solution design and improvement knowledge on processes and solutions Fluent in English, Bahasa speaking is added advantage
