Job Purpose -Provide an educated Point of view on local consumer needs as well as market dynamic, cultural influencers and general trends as well as the competitive environment. Use the latter insights to brief market-specific requirements to the regional/global teams, work with regional team on assortments, and ensure limited market specific adaptations needed to drive success. Scope -Educate the regional team on the GC market to ensure our needs are represented and met. Support the building of assortments for women’s. Drive in market execution, review product performance weekly, and determine appropriate markdown/promotional activity. Key Responsibilities ¨ Be the eyes and ears in GC—understanding the consumer needs and market dynamic ¨ Brief global and regional teams on market needs ¨ Analyze and interpret selling/consumer data to inform the brief ¨ Execute and implement brand strategies ¨ Support the development of GC strategies to drive category and channel growth ¨ Collaborate with the regional team to build assortments that are relevant and successful ¨ Identify business opportunities to address through fast track ¨ Stay informed on consumer trends and what is selling both globally and regionally ¨ Gain a complete understanding of our competition and their pricing strategies for GC ¨ Report out on product learnings and insights weekly ¨ Participate in Regional Line Assortment meetings in Singapore twice a year ¨ Very strong communication skills – includes presentation, influencing and negotiation skills ¨ Collaborates with cross functional partners to execute the brand vision Job Requirements ¨ Ability to drive category and channel growth by analyzing the business and applying learnings to both current and future seasons ¨ Passion for product and for Levi’s ¨ Obsession with understanding the consumer and market ¨ Excellent planning and organizational skills ¨ Excellent English skills- includes strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills ¨ Demonstrates flexibility and initiative with minimal direction ¨ Works on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Experience/Education ¨ Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (5+ years combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree) ¨ Minimum 3 years direct merchandising experience working at an apparel manufacturer or marketer ¨ Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word & Excel)
