The Program Manager is responsible for lead-ing the program in all aspects, from program award until 6 months after Start of Production. (S)he is the guarantor of customer satisfaction in conjunction with the achievement of program Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives, while ensuring profitability throughout the entire program lifecycle.
Responsibilities: (S)he has to: 61 Develop strong relationships and manage the ongoing negotiations with the customer as the official Faurecia representative 61 Launch and monitor the Program: track progress by updating Business Plan, Program Dashboard and Budget Reports, and by lead-ing reviews of program steps and results 61 Conduct Risk/Opportunity analysis, and develop and implement appropriate action plans 61 Arbitrate any conflicts with the customer on financial and/or technical issues 61 Staff, manage and co-ordinate a cross-functional program team, define team members' objectives and assignments 61 Organize communications throughout the program lifecycle 61 Ensure smooth program transfer from Development Centre to Production Plant 61 Organize key program information to ensure Program continuity and to contribute to knowledge management 61 Act as official Faurecia Program representative towards the customer to support its expectations while preserving company from risk exposure (like Engineering Change, planning…) 61 Support or take the lead of commercial negotiations for contract evolutions 61 Communicate and report relevant program status to secure proper management support on program issues 61 Ensure that program experience is capitalized in knowledge management to improve future programs’ performance
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have/be:
Education: 61 Minimum Bachelor’s degree, ideally in engineering
Experience : 61 Minimum 5 years of the relevant experience of product development in automotive industry 61 Familiar with automotive display, cockpit electronics or driver assistance system is preferred 61 Demonstrate product and process engineer experience 61 Team management experience 61 Experience in budget control and profit enhancement
Nice to have: 61 International experience
Technical skills: 61 Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, design of experiment, “QRCI”/problem solving skills) 61 Strong financial knowledge (incl. building and following a Business Plan) 61 Master Program Management System (internal) or Program management knowledge in particularly in matrix organization (external); PMP certificate is preferred 61 Ability to develop strong customer relationships at senior level 61 English and Chinese fluent
