The Science and Technology Innovation Senior Manager, Danaher China will help develop innovation strategic frame, pinpoint innovation opportunities with transformative technologies, lead and drive innovation projects in partnership with internal cross-functional teams and external collaborators. This position reports to Science and Technology Innovation Director, Danaher China.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Danaher’s three core platforms, associated technologies, and developmental pathways, as well as potential areas for technological integration. Develop and execute partnership strategies, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, academic institutions, hospital leaders and government entities, to advance Danaher’s innovations strategy. Coordinate global and China cross-functional teams, with a focus on driving and implementing BEACON, Nexus, Pioneer, and open innovation initiatives to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Closely track progress of partnership projects, and able to promptly and independently address issues that may arise. Prepare regular project reports to showcase project outcomes and learnings to Danaher management. Communicate with partners to ensure mutual goals and expectations are met. Build leadership in critical disease areas such as Oncology, Neurology, and Immunology, identify innovation opportunities in diverse clinical pathways. Pinpoint innovation technologies which can streamline drug discovery, biologics production, cell and gene therapy development. Facilitate engagement with R&D and business leaders and providing S&T and innovation training and education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Ph.D. degree in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field. · Experience in the Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industries; familiar with related applications and technologies, patents and other intellectual property. · Experience having led or contribute to meaningful R&D and/or Innovation projects. · Established research track record as evidenced by publications and/or professional accomplishments. · Experience in project management, partnership management, partnership strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration. · Ability to combine and apply scientific/technical and business knowledge, apply lateral thinking skills. · Excellent cross-culture interpersonal, organization, communication and influencing skills, in both Chinese and English. · Ability to influence various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic, complex environment. · Have active and relevant professional and/or academic network.
