We are looking for experienced procurement engineer, driving BOM cost competitiveness and commodity & supplier strategy from early stage of new product development.
Key Responsibilities 1. Early Procurement Involvement in new projects/products Be actively involved in the product development/manufacturing process as well as undertaking and pushing forward cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Closely align with RD, SQM, SP and SCM, include suppliers and conduct cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects. Supports sourcing decisions in an early stage to minimize the total cost and the risk over the complete project/ product lifecycle (under consideration of global commodity strategy). Knows market and budget requirements within own area of responsibility. Applies the CVE Prioritize and/or the CVE Companion in new products/projects.
2. Alignment of Technology Roadmaps with RD and suppliers Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies to ensure the linkage of commodity strategies and technological market trends. Organize technical communication meetings for key materials/suppliers in early stage of project, assure technical team can fully understand and make the right choice on technical roadmap.
3. New project/products’ key information management Clearly grasp the situations of new projects/new products, including procurement tasks target setting (sample cost, delivery, mass product cost...) Accurately and timely passing the purchasing requirements to the commodities' SP at the *** time, Regularly share project status updates with the strategic sourcing team, Tracking the new materials' quotation, sample order delivery, and coordination of issues happened during the process.
4.Commodities/suppliers strategy drive in sourcing decision Drive sourcing decisions with commodity team/company/globe’s commodities/suppliers' strategy. Supply chain risks, as well as supply chain sustainability should have fully evaluations.
5. Key tasks schedule management and conflict management Manage the new projects/products' gates output of procurement department, such as RFQ, price comparison and negotiation, final sourcing decision price maintenance, sample delivery, type test by supplier... Coordinate the communication between cross function teams in the project, actively handle conflicts and escalate them in time. Organize the communication/workshop between SIED and the suppliers to solve the problems (technical, quality, cost, delivery...)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in sourcing and supply chain management Experimenting and agile working has profound knowledge and broad experience on inverter Products. Analyzes, interprets, structures, and presents extensive and/or complex day on the topic. Has resolve problem experience in complex environments (some interdependencies, variables, uncertainties). Successfully executes ambitious tasks, independently choosing the optimal solution or method from different options. Finds solutions in complex environments and for broad organizational/professional issues and/or unpredictable problems. Excellent experience and knowledge of mechanical and electronic materials' cost, especially for mechanical materials' cost construction. Excellent time and multitasking management skill Good oral/ written English and excellent communication skill, and 30%+ meetings in English environment Good office tools and digital tools application of data analysis
