Our FC&A China team of around 30 professionals is embarking on an exciting journey to separate the Animal Nutrition & Health business, as announced by the Company in February 2024: dsm-firmenich to separate out Animal Nutrition & Health business from the Group.
As part of this transformative phase, we are expanding our team to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional financial control & accounting activities for the region. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled experienced Financial Controller to join our team during a time of change.
As an experienced Financial Controller joining in this dynamic and changing environment, you will play a critical role in managing the financial activities of the legal entities impacted by the separation. You will work closely with the existing team in place, to ensure our team deliver and execute the finance planning, actuals, closing and reporting activities of all existing and/or newly created legal entities. Additionally, you will support the transfer of assets and liabilities to newly created legal entities, ensuring a smooth and compliant transition – all while building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Your key responsibilities 61 Oversee and execute finance actuals, closing, reporting and forecasting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) to ensure timely delivery and accuracy; Perform thorough sanity checks of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and coordinate variances analysis against actuals, including comparisons to prior periods. 61 Ensure compliance with dsm-firmenich Accounting Rules, international, and local statutory accounting standards to maintain integrity of financial statements and management reports. 61 Monitor the Balance Sheet and P&L Statement, conduct financial variance analysis, and address exceptional items to ensure financial stability and accuracy. Review integrity and quality of all sub ledgers, including balance reconciliation, to identify and resolve discrepancies. 61 Responsible for the compliance, correctness, and completeness of the applicable master data fields for the assigned legal entities. 61 Provide evidence for the Internal Control Framework and follows up on remediation plans. Strong knowledge of financial control processes, IFRS principles and financial analysis; budgeting, and forecasting. ERP knowledge such as SAP. 61 Proactive, self-motivated, and resilient, with a drive for continuous learning and growth. 61 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
