Job Summary We are looking for a young and dynamic Manager with 3-5 years of experience to support the implementation of China outbound strategies and China+1 strategies. The ideal candidate should have experience in assisting Chinese companies in their internationalization efforts and expansion overseas. This role focuses on assisting with business development, client relationship management, and overseeing the publication of related Asia Briefing publications, articles and materials. The candidate will assist with managing outbound projects from China, collaborating with regional teams/heads in Southeast Asia, organizing and participating in outbound-related events, supporting project revenue management, and ensuring high-quality translation services. Fluency in both Chinese and English is required, and travel (including international) will be necessary. Principal Responsibilities: 61 Project Support & Coordination: o Assist in planning, executing, and delivering projects related to China outbound or China+1 strategies. o Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects. o Monitor project progress, assist with scheduling, and ensure resource availability to meet project objectives. o Creation of a “China Desk” in China to support Chinese companies expansion overseas o ODI project P&L ownership 61 Market Research & Strategy Support: o Conduct market research to analyze market conditions, regulatory requirements, and trends to assist in the development of outbound strategies. o Assist in preparing market reports, client presentations, and strategy recommendations based on research findings. 61 Business Development & Client Relationship Support: o Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and assisting with client outreach. o Help maintain client relationships by providing regular updates, managing communications, and addressing client needs. o Collaborate with regional teams in Southeast Asia to support business development activities and ensure client satisfaction. 61 Revenue & Financial Support for Outbound Projects: o Assist with tracking project budgets, ensuring that projects stay within financial parameters. o Support the finance team in preparing billing, financial reports, and tracking project revenue. 61 Outbound Events & Networking: o Participate in outbound-related industry events, such as trade shows, webinars, and conferences, to gather insights and support business development efforts. o Assist in preparing materials and presentations for outbound events and meetings with clients or partners. 61 Translation Support for Publications & Articles o Provide translation support/supervision for Asia Briefing publications and articles, ensuring accuracy and clarity in both Chinese and English. o Work closely with the editorial team to ensure that translations align with the company’s tone, style, and message. o Assist with the localization of content for different markets, ensuring it is culturally relevant and appropriate. o Coordination and review of intern’s relevant articles (Chinese language) 61 Team Collaboration & Administrative Support: o Provide administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation. o Ensure smooth communication across internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project success. Job Requirements: 61 Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Law or related field. 61 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, business development, or corporate services, ideally in international business or consulting. 61 Familiarity with China outbound strategies or China+1 strategies 61 Experience in business development, client relationship management, or corporate service industries is highly preferred. 61 Knowledge of Southeast Asian markets or experience working with international clients is an advantage. 61 Fluency in both Chinese and English, with strong written and oral communication skills (including translation and editing skills). 61 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and details. 61 Strong team players skills with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 61 Willingness to travel both locally and internationally for project implementation and client visits.
