Mission Your mission is to provide a saleable solution for the customer center / end user and a manageable scope of work from PPM team. Through interaction and the application of the proposal principles, we strive to provide innovative solutions to our customers. We will strive to meet or exceed our goals to deliver sellable solutions, on time, and to a quality standard that gives us high levels of customer Satisfaction. As a proposal engineer, you are able to master basic application and solution knowledge, understand customer needs, be familiar with Product cost worksheet quotation tools, and provide sellable solutions for customers, have good communications skills, adhere customer-oriented direction, to show the valued quotation for customers.
Major Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 61 Technical review of the applications for the request quote with the Customer and Sales team independently. 61 Independently evaluate customer RFQ requirements and customer specifications, validate that our product offering will meet the RFQ requirement, review deviations with the sales team, calculate cost with ICA standard 61 Be able to master all segment applications and related solutions knowledge, use Atlas Copco Application Center best practice for the applications. 61 Provide routine solution consultant support for sales and customers. 61 Provide competitive and manageable cost from material to labor in pre-calculation sheet, for providing saleable solution to customer with high hit ratio. 61 Work and maintain communications with several layers of customers, sales, and end users. 61 Evaluates offering and estimates risk with high (90%) accuracy. If risk is a concern sets up internal review 61 Ensures local or global key accounts standards have been fully accounted in consideration of the proposal. 61 Handle large and complex RFQ, with clear action plans, communications, coordination of internal resources for delivery saleable solution within committed schedule. 61 Participate in multiple projects simultaneously. 61 Be part of sales process in cost approval process, and contract review for potential technical risk, with high level identification and quick corrective action 61 Sales marketing activity involved and with consolidate outputs.
Education & Experience 61 Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 61 Candidates must have 3+ years’ experience in an engineering related field. 61 Experience in an organization which has design and manufacturing of special solutions is a plus. 61 Experience in product marketing is a plus. 61 Experience of working within an international matrix-organization Knowledge & Skills 61 Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical/software design 61 MS office, solid works or AutoCAD 61 Fluent (spoken & written) in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
