In this role, as a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of quality for products delivered by our plant. The Quality Engineer is expected to operate within a framework of procedures and specific targets in pursuit of overall department goals and objectives. This position is located in Shanghai Fengxian Plant. In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are: 83 Inspection Control 1) Leadership and Coordination: 61 Oversee and coordinate incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure adherence to quality standards. 61 Optimize quality control efficiency and effectiveness by implementing sound quality sampling methods. 2) Support and Guidance: 61 Provide comprehensive support to inspectors for all inspection stages, including compiling inspection instructions (II), utilizing CMM measuring methods, and adhering to inspection standards. 61 Offer guidance to inspectors as needed to ensure accurate and consistent inspection practices. 83 Quality System 1) Certification Leadership: 61 Lead and coordinate efforts to obtain and maintain various certifications, with a focus on optimizing ISO documentation. 61 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update ISO documents and processes to align with the company's actual operations. 2) Audit Coordination: 61 Facilitate internal and external audits by coordinating with relevant departments. 61 Ensure compliance with audit requirements and drive continuous improvement based on audit findings. 83 LN System 1) Operational Leadership: 61 Oversee and coordinate activities related to the QA LN system. 61 Communicate effectively with global LN system subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve any issues that arise. 2) Training and Support: 61 Train and guide inspectors on the proper use of the LN system. 61 Maintain and follow up on QA-related LN system data to ensure its accuracy and completeness. 61 Utilize the LN system to enhance QA control processes and improve working efficiency. 83 NCN Management 1) Issue Resolution: 61 Lead and coordinate efforts to close QA NCNs (non-conformances). 61 Maintain and follow up on QA NCN statistic lists, sample approval lists, and customer complaint lists. 61 Collaborate with relevant departments for continuous improvement and troubleshooting on the assembly line. 61 Ensure follow-through on NCN part handling until the issue is resolved. 83 Quality Control 1) Sales Order Quality: 61 Coordinate activities with sales order quality requirements to ensure customer satisfaction. 61 Communicate with domestic and overseas customer service teams in advance to align on SO quality requirements. 61 Guide SQE and inspectors in preparing for quality checks and contact the Engineering department for support as needed. 61 Collect and distribute quality documents to customers as requested. 83 Other Responsibilities 1) Project Support: 61 Provide support for project quality programs, such as Buckingham, iFMS, and Trane projects. 61 Collaborate with SQE to prepare any necessary documentation. 2) Additional Tasks: 61 Fulfill any additional tasks assigned by the QEHS manager.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
o Junior university or above, majored in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering preferred o 5 # of year of experience working with engineering, manufacturing and distribution operations in an industrial environment o 5 years experience in quality management with ISO9001(TS16949 is prefer), 5S, 7 QC tools, APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC and 8D. o Be able to read complex non-machined product and machined product drawings, Know and use Auto CAD and Solid Works o Familiar with CMM measurement and maintenance o Fluent in English, verbal, writing and reading o Excellent communicator, written and verbal o Confident when dealing with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organization o Creative problem-solving skills, conflict management within different organizations (centralized and matrix organizational structures) o Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations. o Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action. o Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and a focus on results. o Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations o Confident when dealing with people at all levels, both internal and external to the organization Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?
