Job Summary Develop quality standards for the organization’s incoming and outgoing materials and finished products. Work and communicate closely with local customers and with manufacturing facilities in the Rhode Island and Connecticut to drive higher quality levels.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 61 Evaluate quality data and reports to identify and address recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures. 61 Perform quality analyses and inspections, for example data analysis, benchmark testing, localization of destructive/non-destructive analysis. 61 Report the inspection results to the management team in a timely manner. 61 Utilize standard quality tools; FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D, 7-Step and etc. to establish, facilitate, and validate the necessary corrective actions to resolve issues as required. 61 Accountable for incoming and outgoing quality & procedures according to control criteria. 61 Support management team in driving quality improvements and external communications. 61 Educate, train, and monitor the performance of quality assurance inspectors and other staff to ensure that they understand and comply with established quality procedures and standards. 61 Coach and mentor less experienced engineers; check the quality of their work and help them resolve problems. 61 Perform and support inventory count and required adjustments at distribution or supplier. 61 Other tasks will be assigned by the managers.
Education and Experience 61 College degree or above in Chemistry/Mechanical/Engineering/Electro mechanics related field. 61 More than 4 years working experience in quality and production in the plastic molding, dispensing industry, or medical devices.
Skills and Abilities 61 Good English communication skills in writing and speaking. Japanese language is a Plus. 61 Able to understand mechanical drawing and its GD&T symbols. 61 Strong analytical skills. Able to gather and analyze data and report it clearly to a wide audience. 61 Strong communication skills with internal teams and external customers. Working knowledge of electronic control systems is preferred. 61 Be able to work independently and proactively with good teamwork spirit, and strong problem solving skills. 61 Be able and willing to work under pressure, be positive and optimistic. 61 Drive problems toward resolution when encountering ambiguity, uncertainty, or inflexibility. Hold self-accountable for achieving goals and meeting commitments.
