61 Plant Quality responsibilities as follows. - Leads the plant organization in setting and achieving quality goals, programs and activities to meet customer and internal needs and expectations. Creates strategic and operating plans for the site’s quality improvements. - Establishes, maintains, and improves the site’s quality management system. Is responsible to obtain and maintain appropriate 3rd party and customer quality system certifications. - Works with global quality management system org to secure marine certifications with right process documentation and inspection reports. - Develops the quality functional organization and the individuals therein to meet customer and internal expectations for the quality function and profession. - Works with local and regional supply base management to assure supplier quality performance requirements are met. - Works with customer business teams and other commercial team representatives to achieve customer and internal quality objectives. - Reports quality results to site and upper management in quantitative and interpretive styles. - Works directly with customer quality representatives to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction on quality results and actions. - Supports WW quality functional requirements and improvement activities.
61 Plant GEM responsibilities as follow. - Deploy Excellence Model to achieve sustainable exceptional results. - Enable accountability for performance, to develop capability of problem solving & continuous improvement at every level. - Deploy & foster utilization of GEM tool pack (8D/RCCA, Kaizen, SDP, A3 DMAIC project digitization, Continuous improvement, leading practice & standards, audit). - Leverage digitized tool & repository to "fix problems once for good". - Drive process for transformational kaizen in plant. - Lead process for best practice horizontal deployment. - Develop & promote GEM within plant at all levels of the organization.
61 Responsible for or assures the following functional quality & GEM activities: 1- Incoming component quality assurance 2- Quality cost – Internal & external. 3- Internal process quality assurance. 4- Outgoing product quality assurance – EPC. 5- Quality laboratory management. 6- Returned product (0km & field) analysis. 7- APQP – ODT&PPAP. 8- PPAP signoff. 9- Change and Deviation management. 10- System, Product and Process audits. 11- Customer specific requirement – Marine certification. 12- Gauge Calibration, including Poka-yokes. 13- Other quality requirements as appropriate. 14- GEM scorecard. 15- GEM toolpack deployment. 16- eCAMS and global horizontals. 17- GEM self-assessment.
Requirements: 61 University degree majored in Mechanical/ICE/Automation Engineering; Marine engineering is preferred. 61 10+ years quality, lean production or relevant operation working experience. 61 Demonstrates command of professional automotive quality processes, procedures, tools, techniques, etc. 61 Expert knowledgeable about formal Quality Management Systems, including applicable industry requirements (ISO/TS16949). FMEA, SPC MSA APQP 61 Expert knowledgeable about marine certification process and Classification Society including CCS, ABS, BV, DNV, GL, KR, LR, N.K. 61 Speaks and writes effectively in the local site language, English and, preferably, key customer language(s). 61 Six Sigma expert level certification (BB, LE) is preferred, Greenbelt is required. 61 Certified Quality professional from appropriate independent organization such as TUV. 61 Exhibits strong character in dealing with others to ensure proper individual and group behaviors with respect to quality. 61 Will take tough decisions where necessary, including stopping production or shipments where quality is known to be compromised.
