Role Statement: 61 The laboratory supervisor is a member of the global laboratory of Performance Materials Engineering team. This position will cover the qualification Heat Shrink Product on annual based as well as support NPI project, sustaining project, application testing and automotive requirement. 61 This role will communicate with local and global PFM team and will report directly to the Functional Leader Laboratories. 61 This role will work cross functionally with Global laboratories, Sustaining Product Engineering, Innovation/ NPI, Operation Engineering, Application Engineering, Operations, PM and Marketing to understand priorities and business strategy. 61 Create a high performing team by setting a high standard, active coaching and selective talent upgrade. Empowers and develops team through thoughtful delegation and empowerment. 61 Set and document corporate and local standards for laboratory equipment, process, methods and training. 61 Develops and justifies new technology and tooling to improve efficiency, reduce testing lead-time and improve repeatability. 61 Completing reports and evaluate statistic data looking for trends and opportunities for improvement and rationalization. 61 Responsible for laboratory, safety in laboratory and during testing, implementation lab safety standard, keep lab improvement in safety perspective, conditions of equipment. 61 Communication with external certified test facilities, automotive team, internal PFM team. 61 Generate monthly report for laboratory in line with the strategy, plan and implement corrective actions. 61 Implement new test methods with cooperation with NPI and sustaining team. 61 Create standard works, procedures, risk assessment, COSHH and whole documentation connected with global and internal requirement. Close communication with local plant and engineering. 61 Close cooperation with engineering, development, quality team, product engineering.

Qualifications & specialist training required: 61 5+ years engineering leadership experience managing a team of technicians and specialist. 61 Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in an engineering, technical or scientific discipline. 61 Strong management skills. 61 Experience in building and mentoring effective teams. 61 Experience of working with customers. 61 Strong customer and supplier facing skills – building technical relationship. 61 Considerable test and validation experience, developing and implementation new testing methodology. 61 Previous experience working with, understanding and interpreting test specifications. Also, knowledge of writing new specification for specific applications. 61 Extensive knowledge of test techniques and methods (electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical). 61 Experienced in technical report writing/reviewing. Including completing detailed reports for customer application feedback.
