Overview The business development manager is a commercial role that has overall responsibility for exploring potential business growth opportunities in Greater China Area. The purpose of the role is to capture the changes of each sub-market business trend through working closely with local partners and government and co-create local logistics products together with product managers and assist sales manager to build future growth plan.
Responsibilities 61 Accountable for delivery of controlled ocean and logistics new business targets from Maersk Greater China in direct transport sales segment 61 Accountable for identifying each submarket growth trend. 61 Accountable for developing local ocean and logistics products together with product manager to support new business growth. 61 Responsible for translating area business plan into direct transport sales business execution plan. 61 Deliver local industry insights for sales.
Requirements 61 10+ years experience within shipping and logistics industry; passionate about engaging and serving customers 61 Highly collaborative with the ability to lead cross-functional and remote project teams both locally and internationally 61 Analytical and customer-centric mindset 61 Competent in creating and building written business proposals translating local industry growth trend into structured product value propositions 61 Proven track record of strong performance delivery 61 Well-developed, confident communication, persuasiveness, influencing, presentation and negotiating skills 61 Self-motivated and performance-driven; strategic thinking with both short- and long-term planning skills; strengths in time management with regards to managing multiple objectives and priorities
