Responsibilities: 1. Forge and maintain relationships with Ocean Freight Carriers. Gather and disseminate information on carriers, including blank sailings, new services, and surcharge changes. Procure competitive general/FAK rates for all trades, respond to daily rate inquiries, engage in RFQ/Tender, and conduct rate benchmarking; 2. Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to manage capacity, collaborating with sub-regions on volume projections, especially during peak seasons; 3. Comprehend commercial and operational demands - related services. Regularly review vendors for cost savings, ensure procurement plans match annual targets, source and select reliable suppliers, and execute contract negotiations; 4. Manage procurement records, oversee all contract management processes, ensure contract compliance, collaborate with ZIM for enhanced service coverage, and maintain procurement data; 5. Handle spot service requests from operations or commercial departments. Manage team reporting or PPT and other documentation tasks. Assist regional/HO office for tasks delivery as per requested.
Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree holder in Business Administration, Logistics, Shipping or the equivalent; 2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in management positions is required. With experience in P&L management in Ocean Freight / Logistics or equivalent fields are preferred; 3. In-depth market knowledge in Ocean Freight, familiar with the general/FAK rates of Europe is preferred; 4. Strong internal and external organizational, business writing and negotiation skills; 5. Excellent presentation skills and strong attention to detail; 6. Excellent client and vendor relationship management; 7. Ability to communicate and write in English.
