Primary focus of the position: 61 Audit and ensure proper records pertaining to POs, supplier verification/invoices, customs documentation, payment records, etc. 61 Assess gaps and deficiencies in Sol M’s compliance to US trade and tariff requirements. 61 Collaborate cross-functionally (especially finance and QARA) and drive actions to mitigate errors and inconsistencies, find improvements, and identify and mitigate risks. 61 Help key people in Sol M stay informed about changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions. 61 Ensure adherence to Sol M policies and procedures; recommend improvements. 61 As directed, collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as directed. 61 Maintain accurate records related to trade compliance activities. 61 As directed, communicate with government agencies, customs brokers, and industry associations. Experience and Skills: 61 A minimum of 10 years in a company that exports finished goods from China to the US, providing significant exposure to trade compliance, customs regulations and documentation, trade agreements, and account controls related to exports and imports. 61 Strong data analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in compliance software and systems. Education: 61 Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business, Economics, or Legal Studies or another relevant discipline. 61 Professional designations such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES) are advantageous.
