Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
61 Plan, direct, and monitor all procurement activities of the materials and services Gates procures in order to satisfy expected standards of reliability, timing, and cost.
61 Develop commodity strategies to support business initiatives.
61 Optimize total cost and maintain a robust funnel of initiatives.
61 Responsible to negotiate cost and terms with suppliers, and ensure supply base possesses adequate capacity to support Gates demand.
61 Fully responsible for the performance of suppliers within assigned categories.
61 Responsible for all matters related to cost of supply for assigned categories.
61 Establish and implement strategies and lead procurement activities (sourcing events, negotiations, data analysis, projects, contract lifecycle management, supplier development and selection, data management, etc.) to optimize costs, working capital, and terms; and minimize financial and operational risk.
61 Assure material flow of assigned categories into respective Gates sites.
61 Responsible for supplier performance, capacity, and to develop poor performing suppliers. Implement and maintain KPIs to monitor and improve performance of managed supply base. Conduct recurring business reviews with assigned suppliers.
61 Ensure suppliers are compliant to Gates supply agreements and requirements.
61 Build stakeholder alignment to support initiatives. Identify and develop suppliers to support new product development.
61 Other tasks assigned by the Manager
Required Skills:
61 Bachelor or above.
61 Excellent analytical and project management capabilities
61 Excellent verbal and written communication across regions, functions, and levels; fluent in English
61 Excellent negotiating capability
61 Collaboration and influence management skills; works effectively in a matrixed organization
61 Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRP/supply chain systems
61 Ability to travel up to 50% of time
61 Preferred: CPSM (ISM) or CSCP (APICS) certification
61 Preferred: experience in a manufacturing environment
