Job Description Data Analytics, Business Planning & Performance - Support the line manager and BD team to complete monthly business performance review with internal and AMEX ECM team - Conduct the data collection and tracking for regional branch issuance performance and collaborate with regional branch team to deep dive the issue with mitigation plan - Work with FIN team to conduct issuing acquisition project post review to come up with optimization plan for the future acquisition project for each issuer - Support to prepare for BAU update or other materials for external/internal executive meetings
Core Project Management / cross-function collaboration - Support issuing teams to collaborate with key stakeholders from cross-functions and help issuing business to deliver company KPIs - Acting as a POC on behalf of issuing BD teams to manage prioritized core projects and ensure expected timely delivery of the outcomes - Support ad-hoc tasks that are department wide priorities as well as projects requiring strategic analysis and data consolidation
Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field - Relevant 5+ years in business analytics, data science, or a related role, preferably in financial services, strategy consulting experience either within a leading consulting firm or working on strategic initiatives within a relevant industry is a plus - Experience creating business cases, evaluating financial performance, creating valuation models and performing market and competitive analysis - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset - Research, analysis and insight development (proven track record of delivering actionable insights and influencing business decisions) - Excellent project and program management - Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word - Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g. SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus - Fluent in both verbal and written English - Finance background preferred - Deep understanding of the card scheme business or previous experience in payment industry. - Experience in business development, consulting services, or fintech company is a plus. - Good skill at cross-unction communication and collaboration as well as project management - Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines, adapt to changing circumstances, make decisions quickly and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
