HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, Securities this team a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- To formulate and implement local business strategy and tactics in the context of the global and regional strategy.
- To manage cost and income for China to meet the agreed budgetary expectation.
- To develop and cultivate a client service culture with an appropriate risk and compliance awareness.
- To support Fund Services product and project initiatives as well as Strategic Investments for China.
- To build new client relationships as well as to maintain and develop existing ones.
- To ensure professional relationship are established and maintained with regulatory authorities, auditors, lawyers, industry associations as well as other business divisions of the Bank for joined up initiatives.
- To represent Fund Services in thought leadership initiatives, including working with industry group and regulators.
- To collaborate with Client Management Group and central support functions within HSS as well as Fund Services in the region for an appropriate infrastructure that is scalable and supportive of the business growth.
- Good people management and organization skills
- To develop and implement appropriate human resources strategy to ensure the business has sufficient capacity and depth for growth.
- To ensure cost effective, profitable and error free delivery of services for clients serviced by China as well as those clients redirected from Hong Kong.
- To ensure business is operated in compliance to GSM, FIM, BIM and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- To meet and managing team to fulfil bank level project and local regulatory reporting requirements.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Over 15 years proven experience in fund services at operation management level and qualified with fund management (基金从业资格)
- A team player who also demonstrates strong leadership
- Solid change management experience and proactive to drive change and improvement
- Lateral thinking and innovative
- Good people management and organisation skills
- Strong interpersonal skill and negotiation skill to deal with stakeholders
- Sound problem solving skills and client focused
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High integrity and professionalism
- Strong data sense and data driven decision making mind.
- Sound understanding of latest AI and efficiency streamline technology
- Fluent spoken and written command in English and Mandarin
