Scope of Job: This position is responsible for assisting Head of Accounting in overseeing tax and treasury functions for the park resort. Main duties include ensuring tax monthly/annual filing, fapiao system management, tax refund, property tax management and other tax related work, together with the knowledge and skill to maintain a good relationship with bank to deal with syndicated loan and RCF loan and perform any ad-hoc assignments.
Main Responsibilities

- Coordinated with each department to deal with import custom duty and VAT if any, liaison with Customs and Tax bureau. - Maintain proper tax records in assistance in property tax, land use tax, import VAT refund and other area. - Provide guidelines and monitor tax accountant’s daily work. - Work with accounting team to develop and update monthly cashflow on a timely basis. - Maintain a good relationship with all supportive banks in all kinds of treasury stuff. - Any other reasonable duties or activities which may be required as appropriate. - Ensure that all resources are used efficiently to minimize costs. - Ensure Merlin’s finance policies are adhered to. - Maintain confidential information.

Within their own area of management responsibility, they must: 85 Show clear leadership and commitment to HSS; this includes setting a good personal example. 85 Develop plans that are consistent with the HSS strategy to carry out risk assessments and meet relevant standards, legal requirements and Merlin’s HSS targets and objectives. 85 Take the necessary practical steps to implement the HSS management system, including: 88 Providing suitable resources and training. 88 Defining specific roles and responsibilities. 88 Explaining HSS issues effectively. 88 Establishing operational controls. 88 Managing contractors effectively. 88 Organising emergency response arrangements. 85 Implement measures to monitor HSS performance and, where necessary, take corrective action. This includes audits, performance monitoring, and reporting / investigating incidents. 85 Ensure that HSS decisions are consistent with Merlin’s HSS Policy. 85 Consider HSS issues in business decisions and explain their importance. 85 Support promotional campaigns and educational plans. 85 Recognise and reward employees who show positive HSS behaviour and achieve HSS objectives. 85 Discuss HSS issues regularly. 85 Encourage employees to suggest measures to improve HSS performance, and follow these up. 85 Ensure that employees who blatantly or repeatedly violate HSS standards, procedures and rules are disciplined appropriately. 85 Challenge unsafe conditions or actions and work with those involved to agree the necessary safety improvements. 85 Provide ready access to skilled HSS professionals and / or accurate HSS advice.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and tax reporting. - Proven experience in a tax accounting or financial management role. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to adapt to change and drive process improvements. - Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
