MISSION As a Logistics Operations Manager, lead the operations team to deliver efficient freight forwarding services, ensuring smooth transport, customs compliance, and cost-effective solutions. Build strong stakeholder relationships, optimize processes, and resolve issues promptly. RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Oversee and guide the operations team to ensure the effective management of freight forwarding tasks, encompassing multimodal transport and customs procedures. 61 Input and finalize shipment information in the company’s transport management system. 61 Establish and nurture relationships with all stakeholders, coordinating transportation to meet customer expectations. 61 Secure Dangerous Goods (DG) approvals as required and escalate any issues promptly. 61 Track and evaluate the performance of carriers and vendors, ensuring accurate data for customer reports. 61 Prepare documentation for export consolidation and import de-consolidation processes. 61 Examine and adjust shipping instructions, resolving discrepancies while adhering to regulations, compliance standards, rates, and routing guidelines. 61 Submit all necessary documentation accurately within 24 hours of shipment departure. 61 Communicate departure and arrival confirmations (or any deviations) to the Customer Service team. 61 Maintain cost efficiency by updating cost/revenue data promptly to maximize profitability. 61 Assist in resolving claims and disputes effectively. 61 Design and execute operational strategies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. 61 Ensure adherence to local and international regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. 61 Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members to promote a high-performance environment. 61 Facilitate clear and efficient communication within the team and with international offices.
REQUIREMENTS 61 A minimum of 8 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position. 61 In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding operations, customs regulations, and logistics practices. 61 A well-established network of agents and suppliers within China is required. 61 Fluency in both Putonghua (Mandarin) and English (spoken and written); knowledge of French is an advantage. 61 Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 61 Outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities. 61 Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. 61 Willingness to travel domestically within China as required.
