About the job: Design, build, and test new product design concepts and manage new product introductions, 61 Assist with new product development programs including designing mechanical specifications and producing prototypes. 61 Develop prints, QFD’s, design and process FMEA’s, cost estimates, etc. 61 Build, test, and evaluate design concepts. 61 Participate in the design verification and validation programs by developing test plans, coordinating test programs, and identifying design improvement opportunities. 61 Provide weekly progress updates and participate in new product meetings Provide technical support for new products to the manufacturing department and to field sales personnel. 61 Prepare product specifications. 61 Evaluate product application feasibility. 61 Interface with marketing to develop literature and sales tools for new products. 61 Travel to customer sites and evaluate product or application problems. 61 Research and analyze competitive products. Research new technology and new materials. 61 Identify new materials or new technologies and explore possibilities of applying to new Littelfuse products. 61 Procure samples, build prototypes, and conduct tests. 61 Prepare reports and recommendations.
About you: Bachelor or university degree in Engineering Five to seven years of experience 1. Experience with UL or equivalent approval-type agencies 2. Project Management experience 3. Computer word processing and spreadsheet experience necessary. 4. Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently 5. Team Player 6. Good written and oral communication skills (English). 7. Results oriented 8. Good problem solving & research skills 9. Good organizational skills 10. Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent and Inventor or other 3D cad software 11. Good “people” skills. Good listener and can adapt to the customer audience
