工作职责: Role We are looking for an experienced scientist to join our protein crystallography team in Suzhou, China. This role involves close collaboration with various groups within the Early Discovery Platform at WuXi AppTec. Our team works on structural biology projects across a wide range of target classes to support diverse research initiatives for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include characterizing and crystallizing protein-ligand complexes for both established and novel targets, developing strategies to optimize protein crystals, and conducting data collection and structure determination. You will work closely with the protein purification and biophysics teams located in Suzhou, Shanghai, and Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities 61 Responsible as the technical lead for multiple projects, accountable for project outcomes and client interactions, including developing customer relationships to grow the business. 61 Solve protein structures using X-ray crystallography to understand compound interactions. 61 Collaborate with Protein Science colleagues to produce suitable proteins for structural analysis. 61 Enable internal collaborations to tackle challenges in accessing specific protein families for structural research. 61 Efficiently coordinate and convey results through presentations, emails, and reports. 任职资格: Required Skills 61 PhD in structural biology with 3-5 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in small molecule drug discovery. 61 Proven hands-on experience in protein crystallization, optimization, data collection, and crystal structure determination. 61 Proficiency with state-of-the-art liquid handling robotics for protein crystallization, as well as mounting protein crystals and collecting X-ray diffraction data using in-house or synchrotron sources. 61 Strong knowledge and understanding of biophysical methods such as SPR, MST, and DSC/DSF. 61 Familiarity with crystallography software and proficiency in using the Linux operating system. 61 Exceptional attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and capability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced, goal-oriented team. 61 Good communication skills in both Chinese and English. Desirable Skills & Experiences 61 Experience with membrane protein crystallization is a plus. 61 Familiarity with multiple hit identification, fragment-based technologies, and assays for in vitro campaigns is preferred. 61 Proficiency in molecular biology and structure prediction analysis software. 61 Basic chemistry knowledge related to protein-ligand interactions.
