Department/Office: Taicang Office Job Title: School Administrator Location: AY20/21: Suzhou Industry Park; AY22/23 onwards: Taicang Report to:Chief Operating Officer (COO), Taicang Campus Justification(describe organisation needs and outcome): To provide onsite daily support for the Dean, Associate Dean, staff and students in the areas of learning and teaching, research, business engagement and student experiences of the designated School on the Taicang Campus. Solid reporting line to the Chief Operating Officer of Taicang Campus through the School Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Dean of the School.
Roles & Responsibilities 1.Act as the *** point of contact of the School Professional Services Platform, for internal and external enquiries related to learning and teaching, research, business engagement, and student experiences. 2.Support the Dean, the Associate Dean(s) and the School Management Team to carry out their duties satisfactorily. 3.Work closely with other teams across the Taicang Campus Syntegrative Services Platform to support the daily operation of the School. 4.Meeting organisation and support, such as agenda creation, document preparation, minute-taking and action follow-up. 5.Support for the examination and assessment processes, in conjunction with staff in the Registry, throughout the academic year, including moderation coordination, documents production, exam board organisation and exam paper archiving. 6.Support for academic quality assurance processes, such as new programme and module validation, programme and module change process, professional accreditation, Annual Programme Review, Internal Periodical Review, and Degree Awarding Power application. 7.Help with school budget preparation, monitor on School budgetary spending, and arrange for school procurement. 8.Support on school publication update and maintenance, such as school webpage, shared folder, departmental promotion material design and production. 9.Support on research-related activities, such as answering enquiries related to different research funds, Teaching Assistant recruitment, and Summer UG Research Fund project coordination. 10.Support on school event organisation, such as summer 200 hours delivery, student field trip, exhibition, site visit, guest lecture, research seminar, and away day. 11.Provide logistics support to staff, such as payslips delivery, general enquiries, and attendance recording. 12.Signposting and referrals services for staff, students and visitors. 13.Provide back up to other team members when asked. 14.Perform any other worked related tasks assigned by the line manager, or the Dean of the School.
