Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility DESCRIPTION: The Logistics Representative is responsible for managing customer’s supply chain information and data within TMC’s Transportation Management System. They will act as an extension of the customer’s staff to ensure all information flows properly and efficiently from order placement to final carrier payment. The Logistics Representative is accountable for independently managing their own area of responsibility, fostering and maintaining a relationship with their assigned customer(s) and utilizing the TMC project-based delivery model to improve any internal or external processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure all arrangements are made for customer shipments by the following: o Monitor customer load board and information flow in the Transportation Management System o Maintain team email mailboxes o Perform relationship and knowledge based exception management for pre-defined processes o Document and organize existing standard operating processes o Learn multiple job functions within assigned team o Facilitate customer calls and transportation updates o Meet operational metrics 2. Conduct TMC systems trainings to external TMC customer representatives 3. Manage reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports 4. Make fact based suggestions on how customers can achieve their goals in utilizing TMC by understanding TMC’s value proposition 5. Act as a resource for peers and team 6. Understand and utilize TMC’s project-based delivery model to find process improvements and cost savings within area of responsibility and/or team
Minimum Qualifications QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Education: University degree required
Experience: Two or more years of Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or Transportation Management System experience preferred Customer service experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must exemplify TMC’s core values Microsoft Outlook experience preferred Excel experience preferred Information systems aptitude (TMS, ERP) preferred Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and accurately Ability to work in a team oriented, fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong written and verbal communication skills; some TMC accounts may require these skills in English or another language Customer-centric approach Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requested Collaborative workstyle required to be successful in this role
Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)
