Responsibilities: 1. Solicit proposals, analyze quotes to support sales projects, new product introduction in the time frame directed by the Program Manager / Sales Lead. Present analysis, risks, and best cost options to meet targeted pricing and delivery requirements. 2. Identify, audit, and develop new sources selected for new projects. Act as point of contact for all supplier related questions to the Global Supply Chain Manager. 3. Work closely with the Global sourcing team and Global operations team. 4. Perform on-site inspection of finished products before shipment to ensure they meet required specifications. Assist supplier if non-conformances are identified. 5. Work with current suppliers that have been issued corrective actions due to non-conformance of delivered products or delivery delays. Create an action plan to get them back on track. 6. Negotiates volume pricing, stocking programs to support new and current product lines. 7. Places initial orders (FAI’s, samples, prototypes, and *** production runs) with agreed T&C’s. Tracks and maintains required receipt dates. 8. Leads the handoff of sourced products to the assigned buyers. Monitors the initial orders as agreed. 9. Monitors past and current supplier performance. Ensures compliance to all regulations, goals, contracts and objectives. Escalates issues or supplier problems. 10. Maintains personal knowledge of the supplier, government regulations, and established purchasing practices and procedures, improve the supplier quality. 11. Perform additional assignments at the discretion of the Management Team. 12. Comply with ESH policy and procedure, implement ESH responsibilities,carry out ESH activities, keep all operations in line with ESH requirements and deliver ESH performance; 13. Other ad hoc projects as assigned. Qualification: 1. Bachelor's degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in the field of supply chain management, engineering, or business. 2. Proven general capabilities in understanding and communicating the technical and quality aspects of the goods and services procured. 3. Able to interface with machinist and design engineers. 4. Able to build timelines for product realization and shipments, for new product quotes. 5. Must possess a broad knowledge of the market and a technical knowledge of materials and equipment. 6. Possesses strong process and technical familiarity with modern ERP or an automated purchasing system like Oracle and SAP. 7. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Multi-lingual capabilities preferred but not required. 8. Project Management experience and able to manage parallel projects will be a plus. 9. Familiar with other commodities like welding, molding, casting is preferred. 10. Able to verify quality inspection and understand quality management system. 11. Ability to travel. If required, most travel will be local. However, some domestic or international overnight travel may be required. 12. Team Management experiences on people management, team performance driving etc.
