We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head.
The principal responsibility of the Delivery Lead job is to manage the analysis of Innovation processes in HSBC and to oversee and manage all or some of the associated activities during implementation, such as:
This role leads change initiation, design and delivery and is ultimately accountable for successful delivery of the programme and ensuring benefits realisation. They operate at an executive level and engage and influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across HSBC. They will have reports, these may be Project Managers, Business Analysts, Work stream leads, PMO staff or admin support staff.
Principal responsibilities:
61 Influence strategy and shape the programme approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
61 Drive programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
61 Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities and schedules
61 Establish effective programme controls and procedures
61 Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes
61 Manage relationships with external suppliers
61 Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
61 Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the programme aligns to the change portfolio across HSBC
61 Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC methodology at all times
61 Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives

Role Purpose:
This Delivery Lead role position will sit in newly formed teams called HSBC Open which will partner with internal and external groups to develop propositions that have a substantial ‘outside in’ aspect such that HSBC establishes a significant external presence in domains like ecosystems and BaaS. Open will be very active in the external innovation ecosystem, looking for tools, techniques, propositions, and partners that can be brought to bear within HSBC to augment our digital agenda. At the center of their services will be an ability to identify, incubate and accelerate new products and services; the team members will have a diverse background in design, strategy, technology, and products, combined with a knowledge of the external market. Their skillset will compliment those of internal staff and bring a more entrepreneurial approach: Open will utilize the principles of Lean Startup Methodology and a venture capital-style portfolio management and will imbed those into HSBC’s Agile methodology.
Working closely with senior business management, Delivery Lead will determine the best way to engage with the business delivery teams to develop the delivery mechanisms accordingly in order to achieve accelerated time to market and more compelling customer experiences. The BA will also support proposition teams in developing value propositions that align with our business strategies on digital transformation. Ideally, the Delivery Lead will be a subject matter expert in one or more categories that may include: business strategy, Innovation, distributed platforms, digital assets (e.g. currencies), mobile, or analytics.
We are looking for someone who can also bring anlytical gravitas, thought leadership and a passion for technology. This is a unique opportunity for a senior analyst or product/project manager to help us build something that will directly accelerate the digital transformation of HSBC.
Requirements:
61 Capture, document and analyse end-to-end flows for various journeys and have an ability to take information gathered to play a key role in building a future journey
61 Use advanced analysis techniques, and assist the project teams, by researching, designing, developing, maintaining and supporting user-friendly and efficient Innovative digital solutions
61 Evaluate emerging technology for use across multiple domains
61 Proactively anticipate obstacles or areas of concern and help problem solve solutions
61 Drive strategic research that will identify and evaluate technologies and play a key role in the execution of innovative ideas
61 Have responsibility for the quality of the analytical solution delivered by project teams
61 Work with project management and business analysts to manage the flexible scope

61 Contributing to the broader HSBC Ventures agenda including industry knowledge, thought leadership, mentoring across the team and supporting other practice areas where relevant.

Functional/Technical Knowledge:
61 Strong Business Analysis experience with complex enterprise solutions
61 Good understanding of Digital Innovation and Partnerships – within Financial Services a plus
61 Strong experience delivering scalable eCommerce solutions
61 Highly organized and detailed oriented with ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Others:
61 Principles of Lean Startup Methodology and a VC-style portfolio management; ability to imbed those into HSBC’s Agile methodology
61 Ecosystem knowledge and connectivity including incubators, accelerators, VCs and startups.
61 Hands on delivery of digital products in a large enterprise.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
