The “Flavor Sales Executive” will drive sales of flavor solutions (natural/artificial flavors, extracts, etc.) to food & beverage manufacturers in China market. The role involves building client relationships, understanding technical needs, and collaborating with R&D/application teams to deliver customized flavor solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Growth: - Achieve sales targets by identifying and securing new business opportunities in assigned territories (e.g., Food service, dairy, confectionery, beverages,bakery,etc.). - Expand market share by promoting the company’s flavor portfolio to multinational and regional clients.
Client Management: - Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, understanding their flavor needs, and providing tailored solutions. - Maintain the current customers' relation and develop new customers for the region. - Conduct presentations, product trials, and technical discussions with R&D teams at client sites. - Cultivate and sustain strong, long - term partnerships with existing clients through regular engagement, proactive account management, and personalized service. Identify growth opportunities within the current customer base, upselling and cross - selling products as appropriate. - Conduct market research to identify and qualify new business prospects in the assigned region. Initiate contact, build relationships, and convert leads into loyal customers, expanding the company's market presence.
Market Intelligence: - Monitor industry trends (clean label, plant-based, health-focused flavors) and competitor activities to identify gaps/opportunities. - Provide feedback to R&D/Marketing on emerging customer demands. - Lead the launch and promotion of new flavor products, creating compelling marketing materials and conducting product demonstrations. Translate technical product features into tangible benefits for customers, effectively communicating the value proposition. - Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted promotional campaigns, events, and trade show participation to enhance brand visibility and generate sales leads.
Cross-functional Collaboration: - Foster seamless communication and collaboration with internal teams, including R&D, production, and customer service, to ensure efficient order processing, product availability, and timely resolution of customer issues. - Coordinate with supply chain/logistics to ensure timely delivery. - Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, engaging with key stakeholders, sharing market intelligence, and staying abreast of industry trends and competitive developments.
Reporting & Forecasting: - Prepare detailed sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management, providing regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and customer insights. - Analyze customer data, market trends, and to develop customized sales strategies and action plans for each account. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies, making data - driven adjustments as needed to drive growth.
Qualifications & Skills: Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience: - 3+ years in B2B sales within the flavor/F&B ingredients industry. - Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Experience in selling to both global and local accounts is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities: - Strong technical aptitude (ability to discuss flavor chemistry, applications). - Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. - Willingness to travel internationally. - Self - motivated, results - oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast - paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem - solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and develop effective sales strategies. Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision - makers and close deals. A charismatic personality and the ability to inspire confidence in customers are essential.
Languages & Proficiency: - Fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in other languages relevant to the target market is a significant advantage.
