EHS Manager, China at Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty China – Your future position? In this critical role, you will take the EHS leadership role in China acting as China EHS interface to China authorities, leadership team and regional EHS; support and assist China management team to minimize EHS risks and mature EHS culture by proper engagement, risk assessment, prioritizing, implementation, monitoring & audit and continuous improvement. ? Take the EHS leadership role in China; act as China EHS interface to China authorities, China leader-ship team, APAC EHS and clients; ? Communicate with government agencies for any big changes, challenges once necessary. ? Keep China management team updated on the latest applicable EHS legislation, regulations, codes, China and corporate standards. ? Ensure appropriate periodic risk assessments and audits are carried out to detect existing or potential hazards and to monitor the effectiveness of the EHS Management System. ? Provide EHS expertise, guidance to China leadership team on setting EHS objectives, prioritizing EHS programs and getting them implemented effectively and efficiently. ? Develop and implement appropriate monitoring plans and processes to measure China’s EHS performance. Ensure management, employees, corporate EHS as well as the relevant government agencies and public are updated on the company EHS performance through the required regular reports and other appropriate communications. ? Provide leadership and guidance to site management teams to set up EHS objectives, targets, pro-grams and support sites to meet / exceed EHS objectives/ targets and maturity level. ? Maintain, release, review, revise effective and efficient Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems for site operations in Givaudan China to ensure site EHS performance meets local and China legislative, and corporate standards. ? Ensure EHS awareness and proficiency in EHS practices is maintained through systematic training for all levels of the site organization. ? Support sites on incident investigations; Provide expertise on root cause validation and corrective& preventive action development; Share lessons throughout the organization to avoid incident recurrence. ? Participate safety design review and provide inputs in Capex projects ? Keep a solid communication link with site management and Regional EHS teams. Provide input to regional and global EHS functional leaders; work with them to launch new EHS initiatives and continuously improve China EHS performance. ? Play active role in regional EHS team and make contribution by good practices/ lessons sharing; and coordinate the site team on Best Practice and lessons Sharing ? Your professional profile includes: ? Degree in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineering, or Chemical; ? Certified National Safety Engineer ? MUST have at least 8 years of previous experience in EHS with MNC in chemical industry among which 3 years in managerial role; ? Experience of building up safety culture from early stage; ? Knowledge of Risk Control Methodology, EHS Program, Chinese EHS regulations ? Ability to plan, prioritize and manage time, attention to detail ? Ability to work under pressure and capacity to handle multiple task at same time and rapidly solve problems ? Desired personality: energetic and proactive attitude ? Team work spirit ?
