Role description We are expanding our IT team and looking for an IT support specialist/DevOps Engineer who can support our efforts in designing, processing and managing infrastructure and IT related processes across the organization. Our office is located in Shanghai (China). This is a full-time position and includes active feature ownership: we expect the person in this position to control and share infrastructure related knowledge, provide support and collaborate with our colleagues across the globe. Through our platform, companies have the chance to easily obtain quotations and order parts for their production needs. Xometry's international network of over 6,000 production partners enables it to offer a wide range of processing technologies: CNC processing, sheet metal processing, 3D printing and others. We deliver the final parts after a strict quality assurance process and our customers can always track the status of their requests. Xometry’s customers include BMW, Bosch, Dell Technologies, General Electric and NASA. Recently in 2022 Xometry has started a Chinese office for selling in China. The work requirements We are growing fast and we are looking for, who will take care about our IT environment in office and cloud. We expect fast and friendly support with purchasing equipment and its subsequent configuration, solving incoming questions from a colleague and also configuring some of our cloud services. Successful candidate has ● Proficiency in English for communication with EU and US based IT teams. ● Experience installing and customizing MacOS and Windows ● Ability to diagnose a problem remotely. ● Experience with MS Azure and Google for Business will be a plus. ● Willingness to document your work. (Writing instructions for the team or users) ● Ability to work with git: read file change history, edit text files with ACLs managed via GitOps, make a pull-request with proposed changes. ● Basic knowledge of Chinese IT law specifications: things like ICP licenses, or at least the ability and willingness to study related official documents. ● Chinese language skills to communicate with the team on site (for non-Chinese candidates). Nice to have ● Experience as DevOps engineer. ● Basic Linux infrastructure skills: ability to connect to a server via ssh, view vital metrics and logs on the server, edit configuration files and restart related system-based services and docker containers if necessary. ● Basic skills in working with cloud providers (AWS, GCE, Azure, Tencent, etc.) will be a big plus. Work conditions ● English and Chinese speaking tech team in the Chinese branch of a large international company. ● A developing startup (65 people in China) inside the world market leader (~1500 people in total). ● Full-time position. ● Salary is negotiable with each candidate.
