Purpose: Manages the security program in a geographical region under the direction of senior management. Develops, manages, and implements strategic and tactical planning of regional security services, and has limited accountability geographically in terms of organization responsibility. Responsibilities: 61Develops, implements, and manages strategic planning and coordination of security functions regionally in alignment with the organization’s objectives, provides leadership to the assigned sites, and helps to establish regional security business plans. 61Responsible for protection of AbbVie people, property and assets within the region. 61Coordinates local executive protection and risk mitigation associated with regional visits, as well as conference and event security. 61Serves as the point of contact for and maintains relationships with International, Federal, State, and local law enforcement and other relevant government agencies. 61Supports the development of on-site security managers to ensure their actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 61Develops policies, procedures, standards, and training methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, or loss. 61Develops and manages business-critical projects and programs with financial or legal impact, and document standards for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of security operations. 61Conducts investigations, assessments, and evaluations of security matters. 61Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. 61Responsible for developing, implementing and updating business continuity plans. Also, has responsibility for facilitating business disruption mock simulations with site leadership and appropriate employees. Qualifications: 61Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience. 61At least 5 years’ experience with major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization. 61International experience or exposure is preferred but not required. 61Fluent English verbal and written skills required. 61Ability to travel as required. 61High level of communication and presentation skills.
