Ready to Elevate Your Career with Sibelco? As the Technical Sales Manager, the goal will be to manage technical sales activities and support functions so that Sibelco provides consistent, high quality technical support to customers, sales, and operations.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Develop new applications for Olivine, where you will also provide technical support for various applications including Ironmaking (sinter pellets), Refractory, Foundry, Civil engineering, Environmental and CO262sequestration.6262 - Lead investigation and resolution of customer complaints through collaboration with62Technology & Invention, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations. - Research production history in Sibelco databases - Regularly monitor and report on operating / quality trends of plants and finished products to identify concerning trends and notify operations, sales, and customers as necessary. - Work with operations to identify the cause of unanticipated trends and resolve deviations. Produce quality reports as required by customers.62 - Develop strong relationships with technical representatives of Sibelco’s customers to gain greater understanding, visibility, and impact upon the technical demands, expectations, and requirements. - Develop detailed understandings of our customers’ processes to assist in problem solving and continuous improvement for both Sibelco and our customers. - Work closely with customers, Operations and Sales to define product specifications that are agreeable to both parties when issues arise
What We’re Looking For - Master’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Material Sciences or equivalent, a PhD will be added advantage and given priority consideration - Good knowledge of minerals, ideally Olivine - Experienced in blending technical aspects with commercial instincts - Experience in managing Research & Development projects. - Fluent English, oral and written - Fluent Mandaring, oral and written
